	Sanctum Games free DLC release date announced (Steam, PC)

Sanctum is a First Person Shooter Tower Defense where you take the role as Skye, an elite soldier sent out to protect her home town, Elysion One, from hordes of mysterious alien creatures.

To succeed you have to construct and upgrade defensive structures. What makes Sanctum unique from other Tower Defense games is that when the havoc starts, you jump right into the action with your own weapons and play a key role in the defense. Sanctum has taken the best features from First Person Shooters and Tower Defense games to create something totally unique.

Sanctum is a first-person shooter/Tower Defense game hybrid that was released for Steam and other downloadable services (like Direct2Drive) on April 15th and was built using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3.

Now that game is getting some free downloadable content for its players, announced developer Coffee Stain Studios (best name ever?).
Included in the new DLC, which will be available for free to all players, will be a brand new map as well as other undisclosed “new content and updates”. You won’t have to wait long to find out exactly what “that” as, as the DLC will be released next week. A demo for Sanctum will also hit the day of the new DLC.
“We want as many people as possible to have the chance to play Sanctum. We decided to get a demo out to all players, so they can experience the game before they decide to buy it,” say the developers.
